The Creator

Creator of the site and most of the stories. She tends to overwork herself constantly (there is photographic evidence), not only for Arbors but for most everything. Much to her dismay, she's become a bit of a pet cat to the rest of the staff. They get away with patting her on the head - for now. The staff describes her as a loving person that tries to look out for everyone, but in all reality she is simply a geeky little weirdo with a passion for most everything. Without darkness there can be no light, so she stays in the arms of her Shadow, her love.

The Shadow

The first male member of the staff. He has a very creative mind, that everyone else steals ideas from almost constantly. When he gets to use his own ideas, they turn into the poems that are posted here. Shadow is a big brother to everyone, always looking out for us and helping us with everything. He is a mysterious figure, hence his name. The staff members know more about him than most others do, but even then he still has more secrets. Shadow tends to work behind the scenes and hardly takes credit as he's a very humble being. His heart belongs to his opposite, Creator, for she is his light.

The Guard

A strong-spirited and willed girl. Willing to lay her life on the line for her dear friends, hence her title. Guard is one of the most energetic people you will meet. She is also the head of the Arborsburg Military Forces. Her electic mind can bring about inspiration for almost anything, from stories to yet another way to have fun. Very, very specific when it comes to details in her writing, it can take her a long time to get a tale finished. But it's worth all the work in the end. 

The Silhouette

A quiet, lovely girl that sits on the border between the magick and mundane worlds. Hence, many people know her outline, but not her inner self. She is the one everyone sees but never hears. Her writings delve deep within the genres of tradegy and death, and she weaves her own viewings of this world into her tales. Preferring to be in her own company or that of a few people she deems worthy, you may not see her often. But Silhouette is observant and she sees you. As a writer, she draws herself to be called upon to understand thoughts and feelings that are not and were never her own. For this reason, the part of her that is actually herself is twisted and can be hard to understand. But she tries hard to stay true to who she really is, lest she be lost in the thoughts of another person.

 The Traveler

This mysterious creature tends to keep to himself, but he is a welcome member of our family. He comes from somewhere ‘else’, we’re not really sure where. Traveler is knowledgeable in the realm of scientific fact, always spouting of random info that no one else knows. His creations and inventions can be found throughout the island. He is a surprising soul, with much more to him than you can see at first. He can watch and listen people and get a read on them nearly instantly. This makes it easy for him to adapt to other’s wants and needs, which he does often. He’s also a playful critter, willing to be totally silly simply to make the others laugh. His main objective seems to be to make people happy. Whoever they may be.  

 Leonard, the Celestial Lion

Creator's first Guardian and a very beloved member of our family. He once was a Brooklyn Fireman, and now he has become an overprotective brother and a house cat. He is also quite the trickster, reminiscent of the Norse God Loki. Not to mention he is a shape shifter (who loves to change appearence right before Creator wakes up and scare her half to death). Nevertheless, he is a strong man who will do anything it takes to protect his nakama, his family. Which consists of the entire staff. Shadow he thinks of as a brother, and treats him as such. Guard and Zookeeper are his younger sisters, and although Creator denies his advances, he seems to be quite taken by her. "Her constant quote is 'I let you sleep in my bed what more do you want, Leo?'" He says, smirking. This is one lion that definitly has a plan up his sleeve. Also an avid guitar player and the self-proclaimed 'Alpha Male' of the Protectors. He has since passed, but his memory, will, and love still live with us.

 Domoan, the Raven

A quiet man from Germany eternally dedicated to the Guard. He is loyal and true, always up for protecting those he cares for. But not only that, he can become jealous at times and that only fuels his passion to defend. If you could classify him he would be a Paladin. Dom is extremely reliable, going where he's needed and not leaving until the job is done. He is also one of the best brothers you can get. He and Guard are a perfect match as they are both willing to lay down their lives for the sake of their family. Dom has also left us, but as with Leo, his love, memory and will still live on in our hearts.

 Nuage, the Tree Swallow

A small boy from France, drawn here by the Raven and the Guard themselves. While he is indeed a guardian of Miss Guard, she treats him much like her own son. Dom and Guard both do. He is a little ray of sunshine, bringing light to the darkest day. He greatly enjoys the comfort of being spoiled, but at times will venture out to do things on his own. One of such deeds being seeking out Ragseil of the Light, as a guardian for Miss Guard.

 Loki, The Incubus

The first, only, and last demon to live peacefully on Arborsburg Island. This mischevious Incubi works alongside the Raven, Domoan, as an assistant to Miss. Guard. His two children, Jörmungandr the World Serpant and Fenrir the Legendary Wolf, scurry about in the forest that claims the island doing much as they please. He has become a general guardian of Arbors, trying to protect everyone. But don't let his good deeds fool you completely, he's still a demon with a tricky streak. He loves to play pranks, especially on those that try to harm the island. While he can be a pain in the ass, he is well-liked and welcomed within the family.

Juliette, The Librarian Rat

This lovely lady comes to us from - well we don't know. She is a strict, no-nonsense woman most of the time, but has been known to pull a few tricks on the other Guardians and the Staff. Juls loves a good book, and will sit still in one position until the book is finished.  Our rattie was sent here by Leo after his passing to help protect Creator. She seems to adore all the staff with her 'special tough love' that she reserves just for us. She's a loveable little rat but boy can she kick ass. Juls tends to disappear at times but she always shows up when we need her.
